Role Summary:

As a Project Engineer, the primary responsibility is to manage the end-to-end order process, ensuring orders are booked, forecasted, processed, and closed accurately and timely according to contract requirements. This role involves analyzing parts specifications for localization, negotiating with suppliers to maximize profit margins, and ensuring all project and repair documents are submitted on time. Close collaboration with internal and external stakeholders is essential to ensure order compliance and on-time delivery, as well as supporting accounts payable and resolving customer queries. Adherence to company policies, quality management systems, and compliance standards is critical. The role also requires effective communication and problem-solving skills to handle responsibilities under pressure.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure orders are booked, forecasted, processed, and closed timely and correctly as per contract requirements.

  • Analyze and study parts specifications for parts localization (LPM) timely and accurately.

  • Raise Purchase Requisitions (APR) according to order specifications timely and correctly.

  • Negotiate better terms/prices with suppliers/vendors to maximize profit margin and improve delivery.

  • Ensure Project/Repair documents (Project Documents, AFR, Cost Estimate, ABR, Production Schedule) are submitted on time.

  • Update all order documents in their respective folders, systems, and portals.

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure order compliance and on-time delivery as per order terms and conditions.

  • Provide accurate and timely updates of flash reports for management.

  • Support Accounts Payable by working closely with suppliers/vendors.

  • Attend to and resolve customer queries, including warranty issues and NC.

  • Ensure responsibilities are in full compliance with the company's Quality Management System, ISOQuest System, APAC QRC Operating Procedures, Export Compliance, SHE policy, and Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance.

  • Ensure orders are executed to the best of the company's interest.

  • Handle other duties as assigned, working under pressure and with quick turnaround times.

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant field.

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with all levels of employees, customers, and business groups globally.

  • Collaborative team player and self-starter capable of working under minimal supervision.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Excel, PowerPoint).

  • Knowledge of Project Management or Order Fulfillment processes.

  • Understanding of engineering documentation, geometric dimensioning, and tolerancing.

  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement processes is a plus.
