Role Summary:
The Storeperson role is responsible for multiple daily tasks including receiving, storing, picking and packing of Industrial Valve / Valve spare parts. No one day will be the same.
Responsibilities:
• Receipt & process incoming goods into the warehouse via our ERP System (Oracle).
• Storing incoming goods into their correct locations.
• Accurately pick/pack Work orders in a timely manner to ensure production workflow is maintained.
• Accurately pick/pack Customer orders from small boxes to large pallet items and book transport for despatch.
• Assisting with daily stock counts.
• Loading and unloading trucks using forklift or by hand.
• Internal stock movements.
• Paint touch up, cleaning packing of valves before shipping to customer.
• Open wooden crates.
• Operate overhead crane.
• Keep a clean and safe working environment and optimise space utilisation.
• Manual handling 5kg - 20kg using proper lifting equipment & perform duties while standing for extended periods of time.
• Handle Air & Power tools, use slings as required.
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
• Previous experience in a similar warehousing environment is required.
• Physically fit and able to undertake manual lifting of up to 20kg.
• Current Forklift licence (or willing to obtain).
• Good level of Computer skills.
• Flexible to work overtime during busy periods.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
Preferred Skills / Experience:
• A great attitude and an enthusiastic approach.
