The Business Information Analyst is the primary point of contact with the customer and collaborates with Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality and other departments to respond to customer inquiries. The position works with the sales leadership team in driving key initiatives and helps Flowserve achieve its goals and maximize sales bookings and opportunity pipelines. The Business Information Analyst will use data as a strategic asset to provide decision support, accurate sales quota forecast planning and sales productivity reporting and efficiency analysis.
Responsibilities:
Lead coordination efforts on applicable aftermarket quotations, ensuring collaboration and communication with all applicable stakeholders.
Review specifications and customer documents to apply current Flowserve technical and business requirements.
Conduct daily tactical proposals to customers, in addition to supporting strategic offers as well as identified sales recovery opportunities.
Partner with Site Hubs to drive quoting performance in the region and across all aligned product sites, making the most of quoting tools for prioritization, faster cycle times, reduced part lead times and minimized rework.
Manage and monitor the proposal throughout the bid cycle, including updating and maintaining the assigned workload management tool, while monitoring hit rate optimization.
Identify and develop key actions in partnership with the sales leadership team required to achieve forecast accuracy, addressing performance gaps and preparing QBR data analysis.
Maintain up-to-date, accurate and organized records of sales training, organizational charts and other key information required to manage the sales engagement.
In collaboration with the sales leadership team, ensure continuous improvement projects are executed and delivered to meet objectives.
Receive and compile weekly sales reports.
Support the 30-day/quarterly sales forecast and monthly outlook processes.
Other tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
Mechanical technician and/or degree in Business, Engineering or other relevant field.
Sales or customer service experience in an engineering manufacturing environment with proven success in administering commercial and/or government contracts.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across multiple functional/business platforms.
Customer focus with a results-oriented mindset.
Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of applications and pump types, a clear understanding of parts, programs and processes to best drive solutions for our valued end-user customers.
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team with a global mindset and approach.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.
Excellent organizational skills, ability to set priorities and work to specific deadlines with little supervision.
Experience with customer relationship management in the power generation and utilities sectors.
Preferred:
- Industry experience related to pumps/rotating equipment.
