Role Summary:

This position is responsible for direct sales of seals and systems to selected accounts through OEM factories, sales offices, and EPCs, requiring approximately 50% travel. The list of accounts, defined with the Sales Manager, may change based on business conditions and circumstances.

Responsibilities:

  • Achieve personal and contribute to team booking plans for mechanical seals and auxiliary systems for pumps, mixers, and specialty rotating equipment.

  • Develop and maintain high-level relationships at major OEM accounts, including OEM factories and sales offices.

  • Develop and maintain high-level relationships at major HQs and EPCs.

  • Regularly communicate with and visit key customers in the designated territory.

  • Identify and develop new OEM/EPC/HQ customers.

  • Manage strategic planning and coordinate OEM/Project Seals sales for regional and international markets.

  • Collaborate with Marketing to establish the company as a leader in pumps, mixers, and other specialty rotating equipment through promotion, advertising, technical articles, and regional trade shows.

  • Provide high-level troubleshooting for key customers and manage any terms and conditions issues, including late payment collection.

  • Continuously improve the interface with Operations, Engineering, and OEM/Project Sales Force.

  • Provide quality and timely monthly reports as requested.

  • Gather market price and competitor positioning data for strategic planning.

Requirements:

  • Strong entrepreneurial skills to effectively promote company products and services.

  • Ability to negotiate commercially in the best interest of the company.

  • Ability to work independently, driven by goals and objectives.

  • Excellent organizational skills required to manage multiple tasks.

  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office.

  • Fluent in written and spoken English.

  • Ability to develop territory marketing plans and strategic objectives to exceed team goals.

  • Ability to identify and develop new OEM/EPC/HQ customers.

  • Marketing expertise and experience in developing territory marketing plans and strategic objectives.

Preferred Experience / Skills

  • Knowledge of conducting business with OEMs, EPCs, and HQ sales.

  • Preferably, knowledge of mechanical seals, rotating equipment, and application processes in key industrial markets.

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical degree, background in sales and marketing, or commensurate industry experience with a proven track record of success.

  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Experience with a minimum of 7+ years in related fields.

  • Some experience with seals, rotating equipment, and related systems is preferred.
