Job Summary:
In this role you will be leading R&D projects to design, maintain, test and improve the Flowserve automation devices (positioners and switch boxes) portfolio. Engineering expertise will be required to evaluate the performance of current products and facilitate a design, build & test program to maintain our status as one of the market leaders in valve products.
You will be involved in the following tasks:
Creation of detailed designs on positioners and switchboxes (3D modelling and 2D drawings)
Generate bills of material and manufacturing drawings for engineered products
Provide support for the manufacturing sites and assembly teams by helping to solve issues with products through providing direction for rework, if required, with sound engineering judgement and rationale.
Solve issues with products in the field by investigating the root cause and providing written summary reports which will be issued both internally and to the end user.
Responsible for the R&D lab including: stock of test products, working processes and procedures
Drive, control and take ownership of engineering activities
Implement engineering best practices and Flowserve standards, review new standards and identify gaps
You are the ideal colleague if you have:
BSc or MSc Degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering or closely related engineering discipline
Ideally 5 years' relevant experience in R&D
Proficiency using 2D and 3D CAD packages
Professional working proficiency in English
Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Root cause analysis & problem-solving experience
Proficiency in reading detailed engineering drawings
Have knowledge and experience in working with certification activities, understanding standards
