Role Summary:

The Regional Supply Chain Manager for the Flowserve Pumps Division (FPD) Americas is responsible for providing expert guidance and direction across the region in support of Flowserve supplier performance excellence. Responsible for the execution of strategies, goals and plans pertinent to Quality and Delivery of 3rd party supplied goods and services inclusive of Supplier Quality and Supplier Development.

Responsible for multiple locations across the Americas region and for managing a cross category supplier base.

Responsibilities & Requirements: SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY

  • All responsibilities defined are in the context of the Supplier Performance Group within the region the role holder is responsible for:

  • Lead a regional team accountable for supplier performance responsibilities including Supplier Development and Supplier Quality.

  • Manage the Flowserve AVL associated to your region. This includes ownership for all supplier qualifications and approval status.

  • Sponsor and lead projects related to the develop, improvement, and implementation of a global Flowserve supplier performance program.

  • Lead and execute APQP/PPAP programs as dictated by procurement strategy or quality performance.

  • Promote a culture of accountability within the supply base and associated supplier performance team to ensure Flowserve platform operational expectations are met or exceeded.

  • Support and drive enterprise thinking. Promote and fully imbed an enterprise mindset within all team members across supplier performance group.

  • Instill a sense of urgency within the Supplier Performance Group allied or exceeding Flowserve customer expectations.

  • Drive the principles of data-based decision making through actions driven by analysis and reporting of supplier performance metrics.

  • Oversee staffing/recruiting/training /coaching of direct reports including performance reviews

  • Develop and Mentor team member professional growth to promote cross functional career advancement.

  • Implement action plans to ensure that enterprise supplier performance goals and risk mitigations are achieved.

  • Support the procurement strategy through evaluation and assessment of supplier core competencies and capabilities.

  • Prepare Flowserve performance reviews with key suppliers in support of Category Supplier Management and support a continuous improvement culture with our supplier partnerships.

  • Work with suppliers on developing and harnessing new practices, technologies and systems to add value to Flowserve.

  • Ensure compliance to Supplier Performance policies within the region.

  • Continuously improve productivity and efficiency of processes throughout the supplier performance organization.

  • Manage supplier quality issues through monitoring / escalation processes, escape management, and Initiating part specific quality issue resolution and corrective actions.

  • Analyze quality data to identify systemic issues and develop supplier specific quality initiative strategies and address issues with key proactive quality tools.

  • Support the management of inputs/output to optimize inventory levels

  • Support the category strategy through execution excellence of the Supplier Approval and Qualification cycle

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Materials Management, and/or Quality

  • 5+ years of experience leading a team

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent technical training and experience.

  • Proficiency with ISO or equivalent QMS

  • Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing

  • Familiarity with APQP fundamentals and its application in a high mix/low volume industry

  • Manufacturing, Engineering, or related business experience

  • Ability to travel international

  • Microsoft Office proficiency

  • English Language proficiency

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • ASQ Certification

  • Lead Auditor Certification

  • Geographically mobile for development opportunities

  • Ability to influence, communicate, and collaborate at all organizational levels

  • Flexible and Mobile (Traveling up to 50%)
