Role Summary:
Flowserve is the recognized world leader in supplying pumps, valves, seals, automation, and services to power, oil, gas, chemical, and other industries.
The Inventory Manager will report to the Operations Manager and be responsible for the activities of Inventory Management at the Flowserve Vernon facility.
This position has multiple direct reports in a union environment.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
Daily management of the union personnel in all areas of Inventory Management.
ERP experience on BaaN or similar systems as it relates to Inventory Management
Cycle Count execution (daily/monthly/quarterly/yearly)
Excellent communication (verbal / written) and organizational skills
Develop cost-saving strategies for required supplies – vending system (vendor-owned inventory)
Coordination with quality assurance, supply chain management, and finance for processing of receiving goods
Development and incorporation of continuous improvement strategies for the warehouse and receiving departments
Strong understanding of freight–shipping management. (Import and Export compliance)
Strong PC skills, Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Visio, Access programs
Utilization of basic problem-solving tools
Execution of Toolbox / Department Meetings to communicate department issues
Experience / Skills:
BS in Inventory Management / Business Administration / Industrial Engineering or APICS Certification
Minimum 5 years of warehouse & logistics experience in a manufacturing environment
Strong understanding of inventory management. (Inbound, Outbound and Cycle Count procedures/transactions) Inventory Transaction accuracy is a key indicator.
Knowledge of CIP, 6S & Lean Manufacturing Techniques.
ERP System Integration • Lean Background / Black or Green Belt Certification, a plus
Current experience in managing personnel in Inventory Management in an industrial manufacturing environment (union highly preferred).

The pay range for this role is $97,695.00 - $146,662.00 annually
