The Global Business Development Manager will support the development and execution of strategies aimed at expanding Flowserve’s presence in the Nuclear markets, with the potential to explore new markets after 12 months. Working closely with cross-functional teams, this role will facilitate market analysis, strategy deployment, and key account management. The Global Business Development Manager will act as a bridge between internal teams and external customers, driving growth by aligning company capabilities with market opportunities. The role reports to the Global Business Development Director and is critical to achieving strategic business growth objectives.

This role can be in either EMA or the Americas.

Responsibilities:

Market Research and Analysis

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning within the Nuclear markets.

  • Collaborate with Marketing, Strategic Business Management, and Innovation teams to evaluate potential new market entries.

Strategy Execution

  • Support the Global Business Development Director in implementing market entry and expansion strategies.

  • Define actions to address market needs, including key account identification, product development opportunities, and geographic expansion.

Key Account Management

  • Collaborate with Regional Sales teams to establish and maintain relationships with new key accounts.

  • Develop and implement tailored account plans to ensure customer satisfaction and drive growth.

  • Oversee the performance of key accounts and take necessary actions to meet business objectives.

Collaboration with Product and Service Teams

  • Work with New Product Development and Strategic Business Management teams to align product offerings with market demands.

  • Contribute to risk assessment and mitigation plans related to market changes and economic factors.

  • Participate in product launch planning and execution to ensure market success.

Marketing and Value Proposition Development

  • Collaborate with Marketing to craft value propositions, marketing campaigns, and training materials for sales teams and customers.

  • Provide market feedback to marketing teams to continuously improve customer experience and drive value propositions.

Sales Support

  • Provide sales teams with intelligence, training, and tools to effectively execute strategies and meet market growth objectives.

  • Assist in the development of sales proposals and presentations for key accounts.

  • Track sales performance and adjust strategies as necessary to enhance growth.

Reporting and KPI Tracking

  • Prepare regular reports on market trends, key account performance, and strategic initiatives for senior leadership.

  • Establish and monitor KPIs to measure the success and impact of business development initiatives.

People Leadership

  • People leader that can effectively manage the regional business development team.

  • Clear communication of communicate goals, expectations, and feedback while also actively listening to team members’ ideas, concerns, and challenges.

  • Provides focus on growing their team members by providing regular feedback, offering mentorship, and identifying opportunities for development.

  • Empower their team members by delegating tasks appropriately, allowing autonomy, and trusting them to take ownership of their work.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.

  • 5+ years of experience in market development, account management, or strategic sales, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.

  • Nuclear market experience

  • Proven experience in executing business development strategies across multiple regions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal teams and external customers.

  • 3+ years of direct people leader experience, preferrable across different regions

  • Ability to travel internationally up to 30%.

The pay range for this position in California is $116,755.93 - $175,133.90 USD Annual.
