Role Summary:

Order Engineering is an integral member of the Customer Order Release process. Order Engineering prepares and reviews Engineering data, 2D drawings, 3D models, bills of materials, performs engineering studies and related calculations, coordinates cross-functionally with other Flowserve departments (internal and external) and suppliers to establish schedules for the fulfillment of standard and custom pump orders.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive a culture based on Flowserve’s values and behaviors: people, safety, integrity, innovation, ownership and excellence.

  • Ensure product safety and regulatory compliance through implementation of rigorous design control procedures and protocols.

  • Foster cooperation between departments with respect to the development of new designs and/or extension of existing product lines.

  • Review and interpretation of customer specifications.

  • Material selection to meet customer project requirements.

  • Technical project responsibility including creating complete engineering bills of material and customer/part design drawings.

  • Meeting project schedule milestones for engineering deliverables.

  • Interface with and support other functions providing technical guidance to procurement, planning, manufacturing and suppliers to clarify project requirements.

  • Conducting design reviews to ensure components & assemblies comply with customer specifications and design requirements.

  • Manages multiple projects involving complex designs, including oversight of support resources and seeking guidance from technical specialists

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of design engineering experience.

  • Possess understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes.

  • Strong communication and organization skills.

  • Knowledge and understanding of 2D and 3D drafting and modeling

  • Familiarity with ASME B&PV Code & ANSI Y14.5 is preferred.

  • Hands on knowledge of AutoCAD, Solidworks or similar design programs is essential.

  • BSME or equivalent experience required.

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • Design engineering experience with rotating equipment is highly preferred.

  • Good organizational skills and ability to independently manage multiple and conflicting priorities.

  • Ability to work in a team oriented environment
