Summary:
Our Taneytown, MD Pump Manufacturing facility is over 150,000 square feet and provides capability for engineering, design, customer service, machining, assembly, and testing for a diverse product portfolio, which serves all markets (power ,oil & gas, water resources, general industry, and chemical). The facility has expanded four times since opening in 1971 to accommodate revenue growth and product line developments. The entire project lifecycle is experienced all under the same roof.
We are seeking an individual to join our team as a site Electrical Engineer and support Flowserve products supplied with electrical components such as motors / VFDs / Soft Starts/Controls/ Relays, electrical cable, wiring and all related instrumentation / measurements and monitoring.

Responsibilities:
Provide technical guidance to operations as well as customers from application related items to ensuring interpretation of documents such as electrical data/test results, instruction manuals and industry standards
Embrace ZERO defect company policy and work towards ensuring safety, optimum customer support and satisfaction practices.
Travel to domestic customer sites as required for witnessing or coordinating equipment install/ trouble shooting tasks
Work with regulatory bodies such as IEEE/ FM/CSA/ ATEX /UL for procedures / approvals/ compliance monitoring
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Technology or equivalent experience
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team orientated, and Continuous Improvement environment with problem solving mindset in a timely manner
Practical knowledge of induction motor design/single and 3 phase winding/phases/measurement and handling
Knowledge of IEEE/Local/International Test standards and practice
Demonstrated problem solving capability
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proven organizational skills including attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, even where conflicting priorities may exist
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
English language proficiency
Preferred:
Prior experience in a similar capacity
Understanding or working knowledge of AC induction Motors, VFDS, soft starters – regular motor types to submersible motors (and controls such as Allen Bradley/Toshiba/Motortronics type typical equipment)
Additional knowledge in any of the following: Low to Medium (up to 5KV equipment scope and experience), NEMA and NEC type motors/standards, Electrical Control Devices, PLCs and Relay Logic circuitry, comprehension and troubleshooting, Switch gears and supply source understanding, Transformer types, characteristics, behavior, testing and application
