Role Summary:
Create and analyze routing in production processes to determine accurate costing. Analyze cost data and provide recommendations for cost reduction and improved manufacturing process improvement for consistency and transparency. Review & Approval of identified MED / Tooling requirements for the Products. Review & Approval of Process Sequence finalization for the Valve components. Review & Approval of Process Layouts, Tool Drawings. Purchase Request and order finalizations approval. Review & Approval of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Approval of Control Plan from Suppliers
Role Responsibilities:
Provide expert opinion /guidance for matters of criticality in trouble shooting in Shop Floor and Supplier places
Develop and have thorough knowledge of latest manufacturing processes, including ability to read Engr. drawings, machining, assembly, and quality control procedures.
Knowledge of Additive manufacturing, Casting/Forging, Machining process will be an added advantage
Assessment of Suppliers for Capability
Training & developing the MED team members
Continual Improvements (CIP)
Provide appropriate guidance to the team on solving the issues faced
Oversee smooth running of the Gauge Calibration section.
Monitor the functioning & output of the Gauge Calibration section
Ensure lessons learned are captured and reflected in ongoing work as appropriate.
Training compliance & developing the unionized employees on Pure Safety.
Completion of Tooling activities as per QMS objectives
On time completion of RLM/ECM on time
Closing of Audit Non-Conformances (NCR)
Creating Continual improvements as per QMS objectives
On time release of PRs for identified Tooling’s procurement, for sale orders
Immediate trouble shooting of issues in processes
On time completion of assigned activities of the team members Process layout Verification and Approving
Verification of Tooling Drawings & PRs
Approval of Control Plans from suppliers.
Approval / Clearing new tooling’s from suppliers (GRN)
Ensure systems as required by ISO; API; PED; EMS &OHSAS
Job Requirements:
15+ years of experience with post graduate degree(s) and top career level with demonstrated experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of Product & its requirements, Valve components Process knowledge, Valve Assembly & Testing
Machine tool requirements & knowledge, Preparation of tooling documents in desired software’s, Reading of Drawings and tolerance requirements (GD & T)
Jigs & Fixture/ Special Toolings design, Turn Mill Center operation, Trevisan / HMC operation
Trouble shooting with solution for issues in machining & products
Co-ordination with Cross functional teams for new product developments
Ability to establish priorities and work to specific deadlines, Organizational skills and a passion for safety
Problem solving Technique knowledge – 7 QC Tools
Calibration/ Standards room activities, Standards Room Requirements, Different types of measuring instruments & their application, Using Tooling’s, Gauges & Instrument
Knowledge of safety Tools, Material handling, QMS &EMS, API Spec Q1, API 6A, 6D & 609
Knowledge of SAP
