Role Summary

This role will focus on welder optimization and execution of welding quality-related system processes and inspector training.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

· Holding IWE(International welding engineer) certificate or similar certificate.

· Familiar with the welding method, such as SMAW(Shieled Metal Arc Welding),GTAW(Gas Tungsten Arc Welding)/TIG(Tungsten Inert Gas Welding),GMAW(Gas Matal Arc Welding)/MIG(Metal Inert Gas Arc)/MAG(Metal Active Gas Arc)

· Familiar with welding method, specimen form(P,T,P-T), welding form, filling material, welding position, welding material thickness, welding factor, NDE and mechanical test, metallographic test.

· Familiar with the matters need attention of socket welding.

· More than 5 years experience as welding engineer.

· Able to prepare the welding technical process, can assess and select the appropriate welding type.

· Able to execute the welder performance qualification(WPQ).

· Understanding all of the welding categories and the matters need attention.

· Familiar with the groove type and the welding method.

· Able to execute the welding procedure qualification (PQR) according to the PWPS.

· Familiar with the test item of procedure qualification (PQR).

· Able to prepare the WPS according the procedure qualification (PQR).

· Familiar with the P No. and F No. of ASME division IX. And the property of each P No..

· Familiar with welding position like 1G,2G,3G,4G,5G,6G etc.

· Instruct and training the welder to weld and introduce the matters need attention.

· Familiar with standard, such as ASME division IX etc.

· Familiar with the material welding property of ASME division II.

· Analysis the defect of welding and make the improvements.

· Familiar with the NDE requirements and the time after welding.

· Assist QE to analysis and deal with the incoming and escape issues.

· Review the supplier documents.

· Assist supplier witness and supplier issues analysis.

· Training the incoming/process/final inspector about the NDE skill.

· Optimize the inspection work instructions when found problem during the executing process.

· Carry out professional and efficient analysis on the problems found by on site, implement and promote the continuous improvement of the quality of the client and the company.

· Participate in contract review and review Inspection and test plan (ITP).

· Prepare quality department working instruction and training documents.

Following skills will be better:

· Familiar with the all non-destruction(PT, MT, UT, RT, LT, ET) principle.

· Familiar with the material inspection standard, such as ASME division II etc.

· Work in boiler and pressure container industries. Valves company will preferred.

· It will be better to hold the certificate, like mechanical and chemical level II.

· Familiar with the Quality Management system(ISO9001, ASME, API Q1, etc.) and lead incoming, process and final inspector, improve the quality performance.

· Familiar with the Isolation Valve products(GGC, Ball) and its parts. Prepare and optimize the parts inspection instruction, and understand the components and parts principle and help to find root cause when problem happened.

· Able to take initiative and complete work independently while taking into account teamwork.

· Able to face challenging goals with a winning attitude.

Requirements & Qualification:

· Major in mechanical engineering with bachelor's degree or above

· Above 5 to 8 years welding related work experience.

· Good communication and coordination skills, self-stimulate character.

· Possess English communication skills.

· Proficiency in using Office software.
