Role Summary:
Operate painting equipment to paint products or components and adjust paint colors according to operating procedures and instructions
Responsibilities and Requirements:
Able to mix paint according to operating procedures and complete painting tasks
Perform all part finishing activities including sandblasting, part finishing, powder coating and wet spraying, and painting parts with electrostatic powder or liquid coatings
Learn about paint preparation, including masking, anodizing and phosphate processes
Ability to use, operate and maintain specialist equipment including wet spray guns, airless systems, paint booths, powder coating systems, ovens, chemical tanks, as well as process operations and blasting maintenance
Must wear safety protective equipment according to company regulations
Obey safe work habits, rules and practices, including the proper use of tools, machines, safety devices and equipment
Exhibits behaviors that contribute to an environment that encourages team building, decision making, problem solving and continuous improvement
Ability to calculate ratios, ratios and percentages and to draw and interpret bar graphs
The vision requirements for this position are close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
High School Diploma / GED
Preferred Experience / Skills
With a background in the mechanical industry
Ability to adjust paint colors
3-5 years working experience in painting and spraying
Good communication/interpersonal skills
Strong self-motivation, willingness to learn, and work ethics
