Role Summary:

  1. Outside sales engineer position for pump / compressor seal sales assigned specific sales territory with responsibility for technical sales and service and support.

  2. Develop and executes sales plan to meet performance expectations and requirements.

  3. Achieve sales targets under the APAC business objectives.

  4. Technical sales functions, including gathering market intelligence, customer relations; technical presentations; commercial proposal preparation, compressor / pump project tracking, follow-up, and closing sales.

  5. Responsibility for technical seal and control system design discussion with customers, on-site seal installation supervision, maintenance training, and seal and control system trouble shooting.

  6. Building effective Sales Strategy and create Value Propositions for compressor / pump products and services.

  7. Analyse Business Opportunities and build and grow existing pump / compressor business in Flowserve

  8. Be responsible for seeing that end-users on all OEM/EPC bids are called on with presentation to ensure their support.

Preferred Experience / Skills: Education/Experience Required:

  1. BSME or similar technical degree and/or equivalent experience with pump / compressor seals or turbo machinery.

  2. Minimum three years related experience, including mechanical seal sales experience, dry gas seal related experience, and/or extensive experience in dealing with rotating equipment with specific pump / compressor experience preferred.

Special Skills Required:

  1. Demonstrated successful track record of self-initiated, sustained sales skills.

  2. Working knowledge of pump / compressors and mechanical seals / dry gas seals an asset.

  3. Strong technical experience and customer focused.

  4. Excellent communications skills.

  5. Ability to work in a team environment.

  6. Strong organizational capabilities.

  7. Presentation skills.

  8. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.

Responsibilities & Requirements: 1. Technical/Sales Presentations to customers (OEM / EPC).

  1. Work with End User & Project Sales Force providing assistance where required.

  2. Generate Request for Proposal.

  3. Work with Inside Sales and TS to develop and submit proposal.

  4. Order Acknowledgment (with AE).

  5. Coordinate Warranty related matters.

  6. Sales Approach to End User and Channel Partners including distribution network.

  7. Ensure product preference with all user partners.

  8. Furnish presentations on Flowserve pump / compressor seal offering to all partners.

  9. Project Group determines if there are any pump / compressors on targeted project.

  10. Field Tech Service for Installations.

  11. Provide First Level of Trouble Shooting and On-Site Evaluation.
