Role Summary:

We are seeking a payroll professional to provide expertise to include payroll preparation and processing, completion and tracking of ongoing data audits, and maintenance and set up of employment taxes. The ideal candidate has in depth payroll experience, state/local tax knowledge and possesses a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

• Ownership and responsibility for the end-to-end Australia and New Zealand payroll processing, Year-end tax reporting and / or payroll vendor relationship management i.e. Ascender

• Preparation and processing of weekly and monthly payroll runs, completing gross-to-net calculation on through payroll vendor – Inclusive of preparing of payroll instructions to be sent to vendor

• Investigation and correction of errors associated with the auditing of payroll data before the payroll cycle is finalized

• Processing adjustments related to terminated employees, such as payments after leaving, recovery of advance payments/loans, special payment packages in case of redundancy etc. i.e. Full and Final Settlements

• Work with Vendor for tax processing and statutory reporting/filling according to local regulations

• Able to work and liaise with different departments for example HR Business partners and Finance

• Manages Employee Inquiries via AskHR Ticketing System within SLA

• Benefits administration – Managing employee insurance when applicable

• Leave Management – Managing Employee leave in Kronos when applicable

• Able to take on other Asia Pacific region payroll processing

• Comfortable with Projects assigned for example workday implementation

• Process mapping – Document your processes

• Other duties as Assigned

Role Requirements:

• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English

• 3-5 years of experience in working on Australia and New Zealand Payroll

• Strong knowledge and understanding of Australia and NZ payroll and legislation

• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently and adapt to a developing environment

• Proven track record of achieving strict deadlines and SLAs and delivering high level of customer satisfaction in cross country organizations


• Has experience with payroll implementation and/or other payroll related project management

• Experience with Kronos Time and attendance is an advantage

• Experience with Workday is an advantage

• Experience in managing unionized payroll and Asia Pacific Region Payroll is preferred
