Position Summary:

Flowserve is seeking a motivated engineer to support our aftermarket business in APAC – Korea. As an Aftermarket Application Engineer, the chosen candidate will be responsible for supporting our end-user sales team with technical and commercial proposals for a variety of products. Our customers include but are not limited to Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Water Resources companies—both private and government owned. This role involves all customer facing activities related to the order acquisition process including proposal development, specification and scope review, pricing analysis, and coordination with both internal and external stakeholders.


  • Lead development of our aftermarket proposals by coordinating with engineering, sales, procurement, operations, and vendors

  • Timely preparation of high-quality proposals within limitations dictated by the customer or manager using designated workload management tools and processes, while improving productivity

  • Review all customer inquiry related documents while addressing all relevant technical and commercial requirements, owning pricing components and technical review.

  • Manage and monitor the proposal throughout the entire bid cycle including updating and maintaining designated workload management tool, while ensuring hit-rate is optimized

  • Lead all coordination efforts on applicable aftermarket quotes while ensuring close collaboration and communication with all applicable stakeholders. Participate in development of sales strategy.

  • Support off-site customer project presentations and kickoff meetings

  • Coordinate and manage sub-supplier requests, replacement parts and components, labor estimates and quotations related to aftermarket requests, including effectively negotiating terms and pricing.

  • Monitor and actively provide feedback on application of tools and processes Actively participate in providing feedback.


  • Engineering degree or equivalent.

  • Problem solving mindset with mechanical aptitude required.

  • Excellent customer service skills.

  • Experience in a similar technical/commercial role is preferred Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

  • Strong PC skills and experience with Microsoft Office tools. Previous experience with rotating equipment is a plus.


  • Prior experience working in a team setting that values communication, participation, and inclusion of others is preferred.
