The function of the position must achieve in a shared way with all areas of the plant the quality assurance of products and processes to ensure customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities & Requirements: Responsabilities:
Dealing with customers and handling complaints/warranties. PFMEA & Control Plan development and implementation.
Problem solving experience (8D, A3, DMAIC, 3x5Whys, Fishbone, C&E)
Execution of Lean-Six Sigma projects (Green Belt, Black Belt, Lean Practitioner)
Generate the preliminary ITP based on information from the PMU, Datasheet, Specifications and technical clarifications from the Order Entry process.
Review the information in the Transfer File of the order prior to the Kick Off Meeting.
Issue the final ITP based on the Transfer File information considering the clarifications with the customer.
Follow up on customer specification clarifications to generate the quality plan (ITP).
Ensure ITP compliance throughout the life of the project.
Coordinate analysis to determine preventive actions for defect reduction or process improvement.
Zero Defects" process qualification.
Issuance of reports/metrics of different plant indicators.
Coordinate with Supplier Performance area (SPG) the CA/PA related to warranties.
Lead interdepartmental groups for problem solving.
Lead CIP projects for systematic process improvement.
Lead root cause analysis to prevent Quality problems derived from customer complaints.
Coordinate training for plant personnel on Quality and Continuous Improvement issues.
Generate interactions with suppliers to ensure proper receipt of materials in the plant.
Promote the culture of continuous improvement through the implementation of CIP projects.
Provide feedback and technical support to internal and external areas on quality related issues.
Meet Santa Clara goals according to the KPIs delimited by the Corporate (COPQs, OTD, CARs, CSS, financial results).
Ensure the team's compliance with the company's safety rules and regulations.
Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering
Certified Black Belt. ESSENTIAL
Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred
Solid knowledge in manufacturing processes
Knowledge in standards (ASME, ISO 9001, ASTM, API)
English language proficiency (conversational, reading and writing)
PC skills. Descriptive and inferential statistics
7 years in similar positions
10 years of operations experience
5 years of experience in metal-mechanical or steel industry
Experience in Engineering-To-Order environment (preferred)
Preferred Experience / Skills:
PMI project management.
Previous experience in Quality Control Supervision or Quality Assurance positions.
Field Service experience.
Previous experience in Supplier Development (SQA, SQE).
