As a Service Technician you will perform service and repair work on (control) valves and actuators. Half the time you will work at our Quick Response Center in Roosendaal. The other half of your time you work on-site at very diverse customers throughout the Benelux and sometimes beyond.

The role

Your tasks are very versatile, especially because every job requires a different way of working. You work on all kinds of (control and butterfly) valves, ball and plug valves and pneumatic/electric actuators. You professionally repair or overhaul equipment by going through all the steps, from cleaning, disassembly, inspection, (repair or modification,) assembly to testing and commissioning. Coordinating and/or performing service and repair work and trouble shooting, including reporting and time accounting, makes this job perfect for an independent specialist.

In this position you are also responsible for:

  • Providing support during shutdowns, turnarounds and commissioning.

  • Manage your tools, PPE, clothing, etc.

  • Testing of high-pressure fittings, using various test equipment.

  • Drawing up clear inspection/revision reports to advise and substantiate the work.

  • Actively contribute to perfect our working methods and improving and maintaining our services.

Your profile

You are used to taking control of a job. You are the specialist, so the customer looks to you for advice and expects you to be able to handle any question or problem. You can easily collaborate with colleagues, subcontractors or the customers employees. You enjoy doing a job completely independently. A customer-oriented and a service mindset are indispensable in this position and you are well aware of that. You have received good feedback on this in the past. It would be useful if you have experience with electric actuators, but this is not a hard requirement. In any case, you have:

  • Secondary Vocational working and thinking level (MBO4)

  • Several years of experience with mechanical service and repair work within the process industry, in particular (control) valves, seals and pneumatic actuators

  • Good command of the English language

  • Willingness to work overtime during turnarounds, including weekends

  • Sufficient physical fitness and you are willing to vaccinate if necessary for jobs abroad
