This position has been created to generate and maintain a comprehensive facility production schedule that adheres to specified KPI’s and provides an exceptional customer experience.

Responsibilities & Requirements: Roles & Responsibilities:

  1. To plan production schedules based on customer order requirements and to work closely with purchasing and production teams to ensure availability of material and resources to meet production targets and delivery deadlines. 

  2. To monitor capacity and initiate manufacturing outsourcing as required to meet deadlines.

  3. To perform planning to strategize equipment support and allocation to optimize capacity.

  4. Monitor daily work order fulfillment in accordance to plan schedule and coordinate with facility management for any schedule deviations to ensure corrective action plans are taken immediately to resolve issues.

  5. Coordinate with shipping/receiving to ensure parts/materials are received and documented accurately in WIP stages to ensure work orders remain on track.

  6. To work with Coordinator, relaying job status and providing project timelines/schedules.

  7. To participate and implement programs/procedures to improve processes, lead-time, production yields and delivery performance.

Core Requirements:

  1. Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering preferred, relevant work experience considered in lieu of degree.

  2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in Material Planning or Work Flow Scheduling within a manufacturing environment.

  3. Experience scheduling/planning multiple jobs simultaneously

  4. Basic knowledge/understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, inspection, assembly.

  5. An understanding of Material Planning, Inventory Control, and Material Requirements Planning

  6. Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as exceptional interpersonal communication skills are necessary. Must be a self-motivated contributing team member

  7. Advanced experience in Outlook, Excel, Access, Word, and Power Point

Preferred Experience / Skills: Diploma in Mechanical or Production Engineering preferred, relevant work experience considered in lieu of degree.
