As the Quality Control Supervisor at our Raleigh facility, you will be responsible for the site level quality inspection program and will play an active leadership role in this highly engineered manufacturing location.
You must have a proven track record of leadership in the Quality function within a large industrial manufacturing organization.
Additionally, you will report directly to the Quality Manager and will be responsible for managing, leading, and training a team of Quality Inspectors to support development initiatives.

Responsibilities & Requirements:
- Manages the day-to-day quality inspection functions including staffing levels to ensure the continuous flow of product from material receipt inspection through final acceptance points.• Continually assess the effectiveness of the QC team through metrics and formal feedback from internal and external customers.• Provide Quality Control and process guidance/leadership to define problems/issues, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventative action plans related to improvement initiatives/activities using statistical techniques.• Supports the effective implementation of quality policies and associated procedures.• Ensure continuous improvement of the quality system. Maintains metrics of service levels and develops specific improvement actions to drive tangible results.• Investigate and perform root cause analysis utilizing proven tools to resolve quality, process, and product issues.• Oversee, motivate, and guide facility personnel (including, but not limited to: time and attendance, schedules, overtime coverage, conflict management).• Schedule training of all QC personnel to ensure quality system requirements are executed properly and consistently meet regulatory/SOI requirements.• Abide by all safety, quality, and company policies/procedures to ensure regulatory compliance to various industry organizations.• Supervise the inspection of work in progress, the final inspection of produced products, the inspections of purchased materials, and the disposition of non-conforming items.• Ensure availability of measuring and test equipment.
Required experience and Qualifications
HS Diploma/GED or higher
5+ years of experience in a industrial manufacturing environment
A minimum of 2+ years’ experience in a quality/manufacturing management position
ASME Code and Quality knowledge and experience in the nuclear valve industry
Knowledge of Manufacturing and Fabrication-- ASME codes Section III and Section VIII, B16.34, RCC-M, AWS, nuclear code, and associated processes.
Read drawing/dimensional requirements
Ability to present reports/data and make recommendations based on these reports/data
Ability to verify quality inspection methods and associated tests were completed
Preferred Experience / Skills:
4 year college degree, preferred
Knowledge of NDE inspection methods and testing a plus
Working knowledge of welding processes and weld symbols a plus
Design Knowledge – design techniques, tools, and principles in production of precision technical plans, tolerances, tolerance stack-ups, drawings, and models.
Mechanical Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance#statquality
