This role involves facilitating continuous improvement implementation and employee involvement at the business level. Accountable for teaching/coaching LEAN enterprise methods and integrating with the business to form and execute business improvement plans that deliver tangible benefits to business performance. This role will contribute to build a people-first culture that delivers significant business results.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
Facilitates continuous improvement (CI) actions and employee involvement teams in the pursuit of sustained beneficial change, across all functional areas.
Lead Kaizen events with targeting improvements to the plants KPI’s, and developing a learning culture.
Implements a train-the-trainer approach and rapid, sustained implementation through learn-by-doing methods.
Have fun! Focus on plant improvements and personal development.
Provides local leadership with coaching and training in LEAN thinking, processes and production.
Disseminate and act upon relevant industry and corporate benchmarking data in unison with the Plant
Manager and Plant Controller, ensure that benefits related to CI initiatives are calculated according to corporate standards and are ultimately achieved within the targeted timespan; assuring that planned improvements are implemented, measured, driven to closure and positively impact operating results.
Bachelor’s degree required.
7 to 10+ years of experience (minimum 7 years in manufacturing with 5 years in a Lean/Continuous Improvement role).
Six Sigma Green Belt.
Background in successful experience in Continuous Improvement with focus on business processes.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering
Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Blackbelt
