Role Summary:

This position will provide full time Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) support to the Flowserve SIHI (Spain) in Pozuelo de Alarcon (Madrid) and will ensure that all practices are in compliance with Flowserve´s HSE Policy and local regulatory requirements. Support Line Management in the development and coordination of all HSE activities, building a robust safety culture for the entire operations. Working with the Operations Management teams to continuously improve the functionality of our processes.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Main Responsibilities:

  • Practice safe working techniques and re-enforce the safety policies, guidelines, and procedures as set out by the Company.

  • Providing management information and KPI related to HSE function

  • Implementation and review of company global safety and environmental policies ensuring that local legislative requirements are also met

  • Provide daily guidance and direction in HSE programs at the employee/supervisor level to ensure a common and effective approach.

  • Report on weekly basis HSE matters to the Company including conference calls.

  • Organize HSE committee frequently to inspection, meeting, risk assessment, plan and implement corrective or preventative actions, and follows up to ensure implementation

  • Responsible for planning and implement HSE policy and procedure in compliance with local regulations and Flowserve global HSE policy and procedures.

  • Assist in the identification of possible losses; evaluating the risk in such loss exposure; developing and implementing a plan to correct or prevent a loss and audit the plan to ensure its effectiveness.

  • Provide advice, assist, and audit line management to ensure that effective HSE is implemented and working.

  • Assist with maintaining the Site Preparedness and Emergency Plans & Procedures. Leading the Emergency Response Team and comply with all Company policies and procedures.

  • Review accidents and incidents which occur in the area of responsibility and conduct field audits, reporting and managing the corrective actions.

  • Plans and implements programs to train all employees on HSE practices, fire prevention, hazards, special equipment management- Work with other department employees to identify HSE risk and notify in whole company.

  • Reviewing and auditing arrangement for health, safety and environment management and continuously improving.

  • Providing strategies to plan and organize work systems to reduce health and safety and environment risk

Requirements:

  • Formal university and a bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education (environmental o engineering career).

  • Master’s in occupational risk Prevention: occupational safety, industrial hygiene, and ergonomics and applied psychosociology.

  • Experience in ISO 14001 and ISO 45001

  • 3-5 years’ experience in machinery industry

  • Driving behaviors culture change program

  • Fluent in English

  • Travelling to support other Flowserve sites (occasionally)
