The Inventory Control Clerk (ICC) is responsible for managing Flowserve’s inventory assets located at our customer sites within the Beaumont/Port Arthur, TX and Lake Charles, LA areas. The ICC is the liaison between our customers and local Flowserve facilities to coordinate parts, repairs, and manufacturing for Flowserve products used at the customer sites. This is a dynamic, fast-paced job requiring a responsible, engaged person with a collaborative mindset with the ability to respond quickly to requests, has ability to resolve problems, and has a communication style to interact with diverse group of stakeholders. This individual will report to the LCA Execution Manager and will be required to travel to customer sites regularly to support inventory activities that take place at our customer sites.
Responsibilities
Responsible for oversight and management of on-site consigned inventories at multiple customers
Facilitate the transportation of inventory to and from customer sites, including occasional pick-up and delivery by the associate
Provide frontline response to Sales Engineers and Application Engineers located at our customer sites for emergency and standard procurement of material
Conduct physical cycle counts at customer sites, and investigate and reconcile inventory discrepancies to ensure inventory accuracy
Communicate status and issues with the operations, shipping/receiving, engineering, and customer service teams at local Flowserve facility to support customer work schedule
Monitor daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on material availability to ensure system accuracy and integrity
Coordinate with local Quick Response Center to make sourcing decisions daily to ensure compliance to customer delivery expectations
Assist in finding alternative options to address unavailable products and services
Communicate order status changes/acknowledgments for all Flowserve related orders
Work with customer planning and maintenance teams to coordinate repairable items for proper disposition
Requirements:
Associate degree or technical certification preferred
High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
2+ years relevant experience, such as materials or inventory management in industrial setting
Experience in positions requiring personal ownership to complete tasks, investigate problems, and resolve issues with minimal supervision
Strong organizational skills to maintain both electronic & paper files to ensure current data is quickly accessible
Flexible, able to calmly change priorities based on demands
Communicates clearly for accuracy and understanding, and communicates professionally to have a positive impact on the customer and co-workers
Ability to lift 50 pounds with the mobility to open, unpack boxes, and shelf parts
Ability to meet Flowserve and customer safety, health, and physical requirements to be allowed access to facilities
Preferences
Experience with SAP, Maximo, or Oracle a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite of products
Mechanical aptitude to identify assemblies and individual components
Detail-oriented with a demonstrated track record of accurately pulling data, entering data, and creating reports
