The Precision Assembler (mechanic) is responsible for disassembly, clean-up, inspection, and re-assembly of new and repaired seals to include receiving in and properly tagging incoming repairs. The associate is also responsible for completing associated paper work and computer orders associated with each task.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
The Precision Assembler duties include, but not limited to:
Receive incoming equipment for repair.
Follow all safety policies at all times and actively participate in the site safety maturity process.
Disassemble equipment to component level and clean components using blast media, hand polishing, and water jet cabinet.
Inspecting components/assemblies accurately per part drawings, using precision measuring equipment, and clearly recording the results of these inspections.
Identify defective parts and parts required to complete the repair, and create work orders to submit to Inventory Control.
Assemble and test seals using complex drawings in a timely fashion per ISO procedures.
Assist with shipping and receiving as required for repaired seals in incoming parts.
Pull parts from inventory to create repair kits for seals.
Coordinate and interface with sales, operations, engineers, and customers as necessary.
Maintain 6S in the workplace at all times.
Complete assigned safety, quality, and other training as scheduled.
Responsibilities & Requirements
Diploma or High School Equivalent.
2+ years of mechanical assembly/repair experience.
Must have excellent communication skills.
Must have basic mechanical aptitude.
Must be willing to work overtime including weekends and participate in the call out program
Ability to operate and maneuver around machinery safely to protect yourself and coworkers
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
