Role Summary:

The Pasadena Pumps QRC is a maintenance and repair facility for Flowserve’s pumps and rotating equipment. The QRC provides immediate, local service to our customers in the oil and gas, chemical, water, power, and other industries. We’re looking for a Production Supervisor who can lead a fast-paced, hands-on shop, while aligning to strategic corporate direction.

Production Supervisor’s duties include, but not limited to:

Supervise shop mechanics across shifts, to high levels of employee engagement, and technical excellence.

Be the “Ambassador” of best practices and ensure your team is continually developing and executing world class best practices and programs in an effort to differentiate Flowserve from its competitors, meet revenue targets, operating margins, and strategic objectives.

Convey a sense of contagious passion for the work and inspire commitment to the vision and strategic direction of the organization.

Work with QRC Manager to evaluate staffing levels and skill mixes to ensure the shop has the capacity to meet the demand for products and services.

Facilitate problem-solving discussions effectively, with a collaborative approach and a mastery of problem-solving tools and methods

Achieve safety goals by ensuring your work and other work in the facility is performed safely. Actively maintains a safe work environment and abides by all safety policies.

Actively participate in the CPP process and develop SMART goals and objectives. Effectively communicates with direct reports on a routine basis regarding their individual performance against their established goals.

Communicate all issues related to shop status and production to the shop team, the rest of the management team and to Flowserve Sales team as needed.

Be punctual in attendance at required meetings. Spend time in the shop on all shifts to build rapport with and understanding of the team.

Plans, schedules, and supervises repair and assembly production processes for the Pasadena Pump Quick Response Center.

Assists with planning and directing an efficient layout of equipment and flow of materials.

Assists with manufacturing performance, volume and quality goals are met by utilizing efficient methods and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.

Ensures preventive maintenance plan is in place and adhered to in order to maintain equipment readiness and minimize unplanned downtime resulting in lost productivity.

Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. Has full authority for personnel actions.

Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets.

Knowledge of department processes and procedures.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

Requires a bachelor's degree or a minimum of 4 years’ experience in the related area

Ability to build relationships and collaborate with others, including external sales, supply chain, customer service, engineering, field services, etc.

Must have a collaborative style that encourages the free flow of communication, removes obstacles, and promotes problem solving and teamwork.

Capable of quickly establishing credibility, influencing constituencies and persuading professionals at all levels.

Strong results orientation and a tireless work ethic with the emotional intelligence to know when to push harder and when to look for alternative approaches.

Demonstrated ability to operate in a hands-on environment when necessary, yet see the big picture on a global basis.
