Role Summary:
The Sales Engineer is responsible to meet or exceed the assigned sales bookings in the geography by implementing strategies, programs or plans as defined by the Management. Will be the primary contact for the customer technical assistance, product support and market promotions.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Achieve/Exceed sales objectives, including bookings and growth.
Maintain regular, planned communication with key customers in the territory. Make direct, in-person sales calls. Respond quickly and thoroughly to customers’ inquiries.
Stay engaged and informed about customers’ key projects. Demonstrate an understanding of the needs and wants of the customer and Flowserve so as to establish win-win relationships that support negotiations.
Coordination with end users during Pre & Post Order.
Working closely with end user and consultants for providing budget estimation and constantly looking for opportunities to grow business.
Analyse, identify opportunities, and advise sales leadership thru available data sources to develop strategies and drive results.
Supporting Sales with Project Leads, Presentations, compiling data, Weekly/Monthly management reports etc.
Participate in meetings with EPCs, customers along with Sales / Commercial teams.
Regularly update Sales leadership on the market trends, opportunities etc.
Coordination with customers for follow-ups, Resolution & Realization of Payments.
Coordinate with BU’s to arrange BGs, Short supply, Credit notes etc.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, influencing, collaborative skills in a multi-cultured environment.
Process oriented and should have strong organizing skills.
Demonstrated track record of achieving results.
Proficient in Microsoft Office/Excel/Power point and ability to adapt to new programs/software.
Strong work ethic with positive attitude, temperament & self-motivating.
Position Requirements:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred or related technical degree.
2-3 years of direct sales experience of rotary equipment
Strong technical knowledge of the design and operational requirements of the products
Demonstrated successful track record of self-initiated, sustained sales skills highly preferred
Must project a strong customer centric attitude
Ability to produce and deliver professional customer focused presentations & communications
Flexible multi-tasker with good follow-through and the ability to meet urgent deadlines
Must communicate with positive impact. Skilled at group presentations. Effective writing skills
Experienced solving problems in a group setting, able to lead a root cause failure analysis and communicate the results
Ability to work in a team environment
Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office suite of programs and other software tools in technology driven IT environment.
Experience utilizing and managing business opportunities within a customer relationship tool
Willingness to travel extensively on short notices.
High level of presentation and reporting skills
Commercial sense, Market intimacy, Follow business ethics
Flexible, self-motivated individual with a positive and proactive approach and strong customer service

Excellent techno commercial, organizational and project & time management skills with track record of handling large projects
Continuous improvement mindset and high degree of comfort with quoting tools and related technologies
Prior selling work experience in the O&G, petrochemical markets
