Job Summary:

  • As a Field Service Rep, you will be responsible for providing technical support to the customer on rotating equipment (centrifugal pumps, high-energy pumps and positive displacement equipment, etc.).

  • Support and technical leader to the execution and maintenance activities of the various LCA and TSA contracts in the region, in order to have a strong presence at customer facilities and maximize brand support.

  • Perform support and technical assistance in maintenance operations, pre-commissioning, commissioning and commissioning of pumping equipment at the customer's facilities in accordance with technical standards and internal protocols of the company, and provide guidance to less experienced Field Service personnel, under the direction of the Supervisor / Service Manager.

  • Support the sales department (new and aftermarket equipment), in everything that has to do with the development of technical-economic proposals towards the market.

  • Follow up on new Flowserve business opportunities, generated by Field Service or sales in the region.

Responsibilities:

  • Comply with the field service program updated and in line with customer needs.

  • Verify and establish together with the end user the best mode of the maintenance program of the various LCA contracts in the region

  • Correct preparation of service time reports considering the information requested in the formats to avoid rework.

  • Preparation of service reports within the requirements established in the form.

  • Use of the AMP tool to document and record activities carried out according to previously established guidelines.

  • Sent the respective daily reports and records of time in service in the field on time on time to the person in charge of recording in the system and feeding the folders.

  • Preparation of the Trouble Report with the information required in the forms and attaching the evidence that facilitates a future failure analysis.

  • Ability to perform hydraulic analysis of pumping equipment and determine the cause of problems in pipe installations or pumping systems.

  • RCA Leader in the Region

  • Participation in the investigations of the causes of failures with a view to identifying the true responsibility for the failures, to assume only the guarantees that correspond to Flowserve.

  • Preparation of customer satisfaction surveys every time a service is provided.

  • Planning of the works before starting trips in the area of preparation of technical information, elaboration of procedures, analysis of work safety, preparation of equipment and tools.

  • Provide technical support to the other areas of the company (Sales, Purchasing, Production, Quality, Project Management, Finance, Commercial Operations, etc.) and to our clients when they require it in any technical doubt.

  • Actively participate in interdisciplinary teams for the development of internal improvement projects that seek improvements in product development, energy efficiency, reduction of operational and maintenance costs.

  • Comply with the parameters established by the company's Integrated Quality Management System.

  • Participate in cost reduction projects and improvements to pumping equipment and propose changes to the engineering and quality department for validation and implementation according to feedback from the equipment operating in the field

  • Other assigned tasks

Requirements:

  • Mechanical/Industrial Engineer or related careers with at least 8 years of graduation or Mechanical Technician or related who if they do not possess the above, their equivalence in experience of more than 15 years.

  • Advanced knowledge in Fluid Mechanics and manufacturing processes for the manufacture of pumping equipment parts.

  • Advanced knowledge in the operation of Centrifugal Pumps, mechanical seals, API plans and their applications.

  • Knowledge of ASME B73.1, API 610, API 686, API 682 and Hydraulic Institute standards.

  • Knowledge and interpretation of Drawings, Sectional Plans, Materials, Data Sheets and Specifications of pumping equipment.

  • English: Intermediate

  • Advanced knowledge in protocols for pre-commissioning, commissioning and commissioning of centrifugal pumps according to API 610 classification.

  • Level I vibration analysis (preferred).

  • Skill in handling metrology equipment.

  • Ability to handle vibration, flow and temperature measurement and analysis equipment.

  • Basic knowledge in instrumentation for rotating equipment.

  • Basic knowledge of electric motors and internal combustion, soft starters, frequency inverters.

  • Basic knowledge of power transmission systems: gearboxes, coupling types, pulley systems, chains, cardan type etc.

  • Ability to handle hand tools for rotating equipment assembly.

  • Basic knowledge in predictive maintenance of industrial machinery (rotating equipment and related).

  • The worker must be trained in the quality, safety and health management system at work, as well as issues related to the position to be performed. (See annual training program).
