Role Summary:
The quality engineer will perform the documented inspections to verify the conformance of the components to applicable drawings, procedures, specifications, and all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
He/she will elaborate the relevant documentation and certification, will prepare the Quality Books, will take care of the Traceability and Identification of the Parts, will implement the necessary Corrective Actions in case of Non-Conformities detected on the components, will participate in and promote Improvement actions on the Controls and Processes, will participate in the Training courses to acquire the skills required by the function.
Your Role:
Document the dimensional and visual inspections to the drawing or applicable procedures.
Document the non-conforming material utilizing an NCR process through Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/Preventive Action approach
Manage relations with internal and external customer and third-party inspectors
Manage Instrument Calibrations
Internal and external Certifications review
Traceability and parts identifications (Make and Buy)
In-process and Incoming Materials control
Review and approve the supplier’s manufacturing and testing documents/certifications and take care of approval (when required) of these documents by the internal or external customer and the authorized inspection body.
Elaborate Quality Books for the projects .
Participate in Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) events
Other duties as assigned
Your Profile:
3-5 years of relevant experience in quality inspection role in mechanical or industrial companies.
High School technical education (3 years Engineer degree is a plus)
Proficient in interpreting assembly and machining drawings, with some understanding of geometry dimensioning and tolerancing.
Proper use of inspection equipment and instruments in machining controls, assembly.
Good knowledge and passion for mechanics (drawings interpretation , material, metallurgy, technologies)
Proficiency with Office Package
Fluent (at least B1 level) written and spoken English
Fluent written and spoken Italian
Willing to learn, accurate and analytical with a positive attitude.
Verbal and written communication skills.
Passion for mechanics and materials
Preferred Non Destructive Testing Qualifications for level 2 (PT, VT, DT)
Knowledge of the international code (e.g., ASTM and ASME), welding, NDE, and quality systems is a plus.
Knowledge of CMM measurement (like Dea) is a plus
Experience in foundry and machining process is a plus.
Familiar with Sap is a plus.
Internal Auditor Qualification is preferred.
