Role Summary :

Flowserve Corporation is a public, multi-national company engaged in the engineering, manufacturing, and servicing of advanced technology fluid handling and control equipment in a variety of markets worldwide. The products of the company include pumps, valves, mechanical seals, and related services. Based on Manchester Quick Response Center (QRC), this is a mechanically biased role with some mixed duties that may involve electrical drives and mechatronic devices. The main function of the Pump Repair Technician (DCI Technician) is to execute the detailed, quality oriented and on time process of Dismantle, Clean, Inspection and Reassembly different type of pumps, including centrifugal, positive displacement and vacuum units. The Pump Repair Technician (DCI Technician) will utilize standard tools and systems and will adhere to the quality, safety and engineering procedures of the company. The duties will be executed under the direction of the Workshop Supervisor and with constant interaction with the Customer Service Team

Your Role :

  • Follow instructions given in pre-job briefings and complete all checklists, routers, and procedures.

  • Disassemble products to repair or replace defective materials or worn parts and make other repairs, as necessary.

  • Inspect components and assemblies accurately and precisely, and clearly record the results of these inspections.

  • Use basic manual machining equipment to re-work pump parts.

  • Operate various precision measuring tools.

  • Ability to perform non-destructive examination (Liquid Penetrant) for casting parts as applicable.

  • Participate and adhere to the implementation and use of appropriate reporting and operating systems, manufacturing, and quality processes.

  • Coordinate and interface with Sales, Operations, Engineers, and Customers as necessary.

  • Must be able to work overtime hours including weekends when required.

  • Able to stand for long periods and lift objects up to 50 lbs.

  • Maintain hand tools and shop floor in 6S manner during and after work.High attention to housekeeping at work.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Profile :

  • The successful candidate will be a confident time-served and qualified mechanical technician, ideally with experience in rotating equipment. A mechatronic background would be considered a relevant plus.

  • Must possess a high school diploma and experience in mechanical biased roles (with technical education preferred, such as an HNC Level).

  • Fluent in English language. Good oral and written communication skills.

  • Possess basic computer skills. Microsoft Office Applications Experience (i.e.: Excel, Word, etc.).

  • Full Driving License preferred.
