Role Summary:
Flowserve is looking for a customer-focused Customer Product Repair Supervisor . This is an exciting opportunity for someone to lead and influence a team of Customer Product Repair Technicians and Technical Support Representatives who facilitate customer equipment repair, troubleshoot equipment problems, provide startup assistance, interpret electrical schematics, and engage in warranty and field failure discussions for our customers.
Responsibilities & Requirements: The duties include, but not limited to:
Manage customer product repair technicians who are responsible for repairing and refurbishing customer electric actuators and equipment, diagnose and troubleshoot equipment, conduct maintenance, and manage warranty and field failures for Flowserve’s electric actuators and equipment at our customers’ sites.
Maintain customer relationships through superior responsiveness, solutions, and service.
Perform job walks as needed to produce accurate, thorough quotes for customers.
Monitor the scope of work, schedules, and costs of jobs to ensure complete customer satisfaction, quick close-out, and prompt invoicing.
Contract and oversee vendor services as needed.
Assemble final job documentation for purchase order revisions and invoice approvals.
Collaborate effectively with the customers, our customer product repair technicians and field service technicians, and the supporting organizations of Flowserve, such as the repair centers, buyers, and sales engineering.
Maintain organized, accurate, timely records, including jobs quoted, jobs performed, and time and materials charged.
Operate within established budgets, maintain expense records, report on expenses.
Promote continuous improvement by identifying problems, analyzing data, considering different approaches, and implementing changes.
Responsible for the safety and wellbeing of all Flowserve customer equipment repair employees at our facilities as well as customer facilities.
Coordinate customer product repair technicians’ work schedules, vacations, training, and other tasks with the field service job schedule.
Manage the team effectively, ensuring that it has the right people and resources for success. Post jobs, conduct interviews, and hire direct reports as necessary.
Evaluate performance; reward successes, and take remedial actions as needed.
Be a champion of best practices, client-relationships, and administrative processes to differentiate Flowserve from our competitors.
Convey a sense of contagious passion for the work and inspire commitment to the vision and strategic direction of the organization.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
5+ years of mechanical experience.
5+ years electrical wiring experience.
Skilled and knowledgeable in the removal, repair, and installation of electric actuators, and in the operational conditions and performance of rotating equipment required.
Ability to develop and sustain a vision of technical excellence and business growth that is shared by the entire team.
Must have a collaborative style that encourages the free flow of communication, removes obstacles, and promotes problem solving and teamwork.
Able to remain calm and even tempered in the face of challenges, demands, and deadlines
Must be able to describe the business with metrics, use business data to present recommendations, explain mechanical problems, and articulate the thinking behind recommendations.
Must be able to write in clear, organized emails with good writing mechanics and a professional tone.
Good computer skills to include, MS Outlook, Word and Excel. Computer savvy to learn new systems, such as Flowserve’s online system for developing job quotes.
Excellent ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and schematics.
Must be able to travel 20% of the time with overnight stays required.
Must have an active driver’s license with a good driving record and be able to pass a DOT physical; will drive Company truck on occasion.
Outdoor physical activity is required, including ascending/descending ladders and staircases, and climbing in, under, and around large equipment often located outside.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
- 2+ years of supervisory or other leadership experience that demonstrates an ability to lead, motivate, and develop others, highly preferred.
