This role is responsible for ideation, proof of concept, and supporting the development of complex and innovative mechatronic and digital solutions. It involves active onsite collaboration with globally distributed teams, customers, and partners.

Responsibilities:
Technology:
Sharing knowledge by attending trade fairs, visiting possible technology partners, visiting customers and visiting Flowserve teams around the world.
Analysis of state-of-the-art technologies.
Analysis of existing mechatronic products.
Technical consultant and supporting of mechatronics development projects.
Responsible for ideation, proof of concepts and technology projects.
Hardware solutions:
Design concepts (e.g. modularity) for partner hardware development.
Design of enterprise platform architecture for mechatronics products and IoT HW solutions.
Design of enterprise hardware platform guidelines and concept descriptions for mechatronics products.
Software solutions:
Design of embedded software architectures.
Design concepts (e.g. modularity) for embedded software development.
Design of enterprise data models, operating concepts, and visualization concepts for mechatronics products and IoT solutions.
Design of enterprise guidelines and concepts for the cyber security solutions of mechatronics products.
Future-proof embedded software development.
Modular microcontroller hardware abstraction layer firmware design.
Control and Simulation:
Design simulations (e.g. MATLAB/Simulink).
Electronics system thermic simulation.
Evaluation and script software (e.g. Python).
Hardware in the Loop.
Rapid control prototyping.
Control design.
Code Generation.
Job Requirements:
University Master’s degree – Mechatronic, Automation, Electronics or similar.
More than 8 years of professional experience in the mechatronics or electrical engineering is required.
Extended knowledge for the design of modern control and application systems.
Extended knowledge on modern software architecture concepts.
Extended knowledge of interaction between electrical, mechanical, and physical systems – understanding of the complete mechatronics system.
Extended knowledge of embedded C/C++ programming.
Extended knowledge of MATLAB / Simulink simulation tools.
Experience with integration and using of embedded hardware.
Experience with planning and definition of automation systems or products with using COTS components.
Experience with modern microcontroller HW technology.
Experience with modern microcontroller programming (include multi-core controller).
Preferred Experience / Skills:
Fundamentals of information technology
Fundamentals of modern motor and drive technology
Fundamentals of measurement electronics development
Fundamentals of drive and process control theories
Fundamentals of automation control application
Fundamentals of modern field bus technologies and protocols
Fundamentals of hardware certifications (EMC, low voltage directives, UL, CSA)
Travel Requirements:
Candidate needs to be internationally mobile and be prepared to visit other regions when required. Travel up to 25%.
