Role Summary:

This role is responsible for the detailed review and completion of proposals, drawings, calculations, and risk assessments for seals and system requirements in the region. The position will provide application engineering support to operations, sales, commercial operations, field services, and customers. Key responsibilities include undertaking seal failure analysis, preparing failure reports to resolve warranty claims, and identifying suitable corrective actions for seals and auxiliary support systems. A key objective is to exceed customer and QRC expectations and satisfaction levels.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provide application engineering support to the sales team on seals and support systems selection.

  • Assist the sales team in attending technical clarification meetings.

  • Support QRC operations and CSR with product coding and basic engineering advice.

  • Assist Sales and Commercial Operations with reference proposal drawings and experience lists for specific applications.

  • Develop upgrade and conversion proposals for problematic field equipment.

  • Travel to sites and troubleshoot to support Field Service engineers for critical issues.

  • Select custom-designed seals and support systems for customer inquiries.

  • Independently recommend standard seal selections in 90% of cases.

  • Review proposal engineering drawings produced by order engineering.

  • Conduct holistic root cause failure analysis for field problems and resolve issues systematically.

  • Maintain a daily log of activities and provide weekly reports of processed jobs for managerial review.

Position Requirements:

  • B.E. or higher in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, specializing in Pumps or Rotating Equipment.

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with centrifugal pumps, mechanical seals, and mixer equipment.

  • Proficiency with AutoCAD 2014 or above, 3D Inventor, or SolidWorks.

  • Familiarity with mechanical engineering design and ANSI/API standards.

  • Proficiency with MS Office tools.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering specifications and drawings.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong self-motivation, willingness to learn, and solid work ethic.
