Flowserve is seeking a dynamic and accomplished Manager, Project Management NPD to lead the product development function. The successful candidate will play an important role in shaping the organization's future by driving innovation, managing complex projects, and aligning business strategies with performance targets.
Responsibilities :
Responsible for consistent, global, effective New Product Development (NPD) project execution and reporting metrics at the enterprise/cross-platform level (On-Time-Delivery, On-Budget-Delivery, Project Health, Vitality, etc.).
Lead NPD/PDP (Product Development Process)/DtV (Design-to-Value) enterprise-level process improvements and standardization
Includes procedures, templates, deliverables, reporting tools, etc.
Coordination where required with NPD and DtV Leaders.
Identification and evaluation of new Project Management & Reporting tools and processes while contributing to evaluations and assessments involving third-party consultant groups (organizational & process improvements) as well as supplemental workforce entities à providing avenues for process improvement.
Identify and develop Enterprise-level plans for resolution with cross-functional project support gaps while adhering to the NPD RACI.
Manage overall NPD budget reporting alongside ownership of NPD Leads and Financial Business Partners.
Lead team of cross-platform Project Managers in the focused execution of NPD initiatives in coordination with prioritization guidance from NPD, SBM (Strategic Business Management), & DtV Leadership. Completes regular capacity and demand leveling assessments and assignment decisions.
Build team-level profiles and development plans that ensure the Project Management team is empowered to be leaders within the organization – driving decisions, providing technical input, resolving conflicts, escalating - as required to keep projects on track.
Assigns Individual Performance Goals and Job Responsibilities for team members.
Coordinates development of new training for consistent process and tool improvements, including communication and adoption plans that coincide with employee level and function group.
Prioritizes risk identification/realization/mitigation within NPD process improvements to enable appropriate de-risking of project deliverables.
Ensures new IP creation process is clear and effective.
Insuring project teams follow best practices and the NPD policy.
Requirements:
BS or BA Degree in relevant field and 8+ years relevant experience.
Proven track record in driving innovation initiatives within a product development function, showcasing the ability to foster a culture of creativity and collaboration.
Demonstrate a history of successful collaboration with cross-functional teams to achieve common objectives and ensure seamless integration of product development activities.
Experience working in a global environment, understanding the nuances of diverse markets and adapting strategies accordingly.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas and strategies in a clear and concise manner to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Proficient in financial analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and making data-driven decisions to optimize resource allocation and project outcomes.
Proven ability to lead and manage organizational change, including restructuring and adapting to evolving business needs.
Familiarity with relevant technology tools and platforms used in product development and project management.
Proficient in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with product development projects, ensuring proactive risk management.
Proven ability to mentor and coach team members, fostering their professional development and building a high-performing team.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
Project management certification (e.g., PMP).
Familiarity with Smarsheet, Power BI, Microsoft Project, Mural, MS BI Dashboards and Planview.
Use of Agile processes.
People leadership and global team management experience.

This role offers a dynamic work arrangement, combining in-office collaboration at our office in Irving, TX or in Bethlehem, PA.
