Role Summary:

We are looking for a creative thinker who can write and edit copy for a variety of projects (including print, web, mobile, video and social media), while delivering a compelling story that engages our readers and furthers our purpose. As a member of our communications and creative team, you’ll work closely with graphic designers, writers and marketers to brainstorm ideas, create concepts and develop content.

While the preferred location for this position is at our World Headquarters in Irving, Texas, we understand that creativity can be sparked elsewhere. The position can also be located within a commutable distance from any of our operations in the United States.

Preferred Experience / Skills: Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum 4-5 years of professional copywriting experience with solid portfolio of work

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Journalism or related field

  • Demonstrated proficiency in writing and editing skills, as well as a solid understanding of how to write in AP style

  • Ability to work independently and with a team to meet deadlines

  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy, while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Proven research skills

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a global and/or manufacturing company

  • Experience in strategic communication development and building a complete narrative to align with business priorities

Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Write original copy and edit content for a range of corporate marketing and communications materials

  • Develop cohesive narratives that tell compelling stories both internally and externally

  • Research and understand the business needs and target audiences, through online searches, reviews of existing research, interviews with subject matter experts, and in-person meetings

  • Transform technical jargon into conversational, approachable language

  • Collaborate effectively with visual designers, corporate communication strategists, product managers and marketers

  • Solicit feedback and contribute constructively to design reviews

  • Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining strong levels of customer satisfaction

  • Must exercise sound business judgment and handle confidential information with sensitivity

  • Excellent ability to prioritize many tasks and handle high workloads as necessary
