Role Summary:

Lead and manage the Network Architecture team, responsible for the design and delivery of global network infrastructure projects. Work closely with our business and third-party vendors to design, budget, and manage the projects to completion.

  • Lead and manage the Network Architecture team, responsible for the design and delivery of global network infrastructure projects. Work closely with our business and third-party vendors to design, budget, and manage the projects to completion.

  • Identifies technological solutions which align to defined organizational goals and strategies

  • Leads research, evaluation, testing and development of technologies, solutions and services

  • Works with Business Operations to define business and systems requirements for new technology implementations

  • Leads planning, evaluation and implementation of major changes and projects

  • Develops and publishes metrics to qualify and quantify success

  • Develops and maintains architectural standards and policies

  • Participates in negotiating Service Level Agreements (SLA) standards for new services and technologies

  • Assists with the planning and development of infrastructure security

  • Establishes and implements short, medium and long-range department goals, objectives, policies and operating procedures

  • Manages financial aspects of the IT department including purchasing, budgeting and budget review

  • Manages, motivates and develops staff; maximizing their individual contribution, their professional growth and their ability to function effectively with their colleagues as a team

  • Manages resources allocated to team

  • Operates within functional budget

  • Inspires and leads others to develop new solutions for existing problems

  • Organizes Architecture projects and ensures they are executed successfully

  • Manages the full spectrum of delivery activities on specific Architecture projects

  • Establishes a good, working relationship with other IT groups

  • Identifies long-term strategies and opportunities, and manages team’s accountabilities

  • Manages level 3 technical support escalations and supports incident resolution

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Ability to effectively influence business decisions, collaborate with business leaders and provide counsel on strategic IT initiatives

  • Analytical skills to drive operations performance

  • Extensive applications support experience

  • Decision making and critical thinking skills

  • Ability to analyze and document complex business processes

  • Technical knowledge of current network hardware protocols and standards

  • Understanding of project management principles with customer service focus

  • Technical knowledge of computer operations and/or business process requirements for IT systems supported

  • Preferred knowledge of cloud security and proxy technologies, ideally Zscaler.

  • Preferred knowledge of cloud technologies, ideally Azure and AWS.

Requirements:

  • University or equivalent degree in Bachelor of Technology, Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science required, which an emphasis in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Programming, or similar IT-related field.

  • Minimum of five years of management experience.

  • Knowledge of LAN, WAN and Wireless networking predominantly in a Cisco environment

  • Knowledge of network security and firewall technologies

  • Strong project management skills across multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to review new technologies and recommend solutions

  • Strong on global enterprise enablement

  • Critical problem-solving skills, capable to troubleshoot and provide quality problems resolution.

  • Willing to travel when required, up to 50% domestic and/or international travel.
