Role Summary:

We are seeking a customer-service driven candidate with a professional appearance to greet and direct visitors, answers phones, perform clerical duties and provide facilities services to support our Sam Houston suites.

It is important for the Office Receptionist and Facilities Team Member to serve as an accurate resource for information and familiarize themselves with the company and the industries in which Flowserve operates.

This is a full-time position with competitive benefits. The Office Receptionist and Facilities Team Member will report to the Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities & Requirements: Responsibilities:

  • Answer, screen and forward incoming calls while providing general information

  • Greet, welcome, direct and announce visitors appropriately

  • Maintain security awareness and control access to facilities / manage access badges

  • Maintain SHO seating chart(s) suite 100 and 300

  • Make ready and clear out employee offices and cubicles

  • Maintain office invoices; coding, accruals, and P-card statement

  • Upkeep breakroom(s) supplies and oversee breakroom vendor regarding equipment maintenance / services

  • Oversee Mailroom duties; incoming /outgoing mail, sort and disturbs, shipping and postage

  • Maintain office tidiness and coordinating janitorial services

  • Oversee and schedule maintenance services with outside vendors

  • Performs as office Safety Warden / Area Monitor

Requirements

  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive in dealing with office issues that may arise

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Experience as a front office receptionist and general office clerk

  • Solid communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Professional, personable, and cheerful demeanor

  • Maintain a neat and clean professional appearance

  • Strong work ethic and punctual attendance is a must

  • Performs as Dept. Safety Warden

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Experience / Skills: Minimum Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • At least 5 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Education and Experience

  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures

  • Basic computer skills with use of Microsoft Office Suite

  • Knowledge of customer service principles and practices

Physical Effort

  • Must be physically able to efficiently perform the duties of the position, lifting, pushing, or pulling required of up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to walk the department floor(s) several times throughout the day
