Role Summary:

  1. Prepare all parts for painting.

  2. Good knowledge of parts to assure proper identification and accurate color and coating requirements for different product lines.

  3. Preventive maintenance and daily maintenance on the paint system.

  4. Properly dispose of unwanted non-usable paints and thinners, such as using distiller for thinners or packing for storage and disposal.

  5. Work in a safe manner at all times. Report any safety problems to supervisor or manager.

  6. Spot defects with products/BOM to ensure quality parts.

  7. Other duties as may be required.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Routinely lift pump components weighing up to 50 lbs

  • Parts may be lifted out of baskets or off of shelves

  • Lift up to 20 foot 4x4 boards

  • Routinely use impact wrench

  • Routinely use chain wrench, pipe wrench (two hands required – using body weight to tighten)

  • Routinely use collet hammers to driver impeller collets (repetitive & high force)

  • Use overhead crane and associated lifting devices

  • Ability to find center of gravity of pumps weighing up to 8000 lbs

  • Stamping discharge heads with customer information (both hands required)

  • Hand/finger dexterity to put fasteners in holes while aligning parts and keyed components

  • Routinely use air chisel

  • Use power wash equipment to clean pumps & components

  • Ability to drive forklift and 4 wheel cart

  • Up and down ladder numerous times a day

  • Use of cut-off saws, panel saws and table saws

  • Use of nail and staple guns

  • Use of banding ratchet to band pumps and components to skids

  • Constant awareness and mental clarity due to work environment

  • Read and understand Bill of Materials in assembly sequence

  • Ability to read pick lists

  • Ability to match part numbers on pick lists and locations as well as parts themselves

  • Computer knowledge

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  1. High School diploma or equivalency.

  2. Valid State issued drivers license.

  3. Valid fork truck operators license.

  4. Work well with people.
