The Test Engineer is responsible for safe operation of the Test Cell, and all technical aspects of the test lab instrumentation, software, data collection, accuracy and precision. This role will be responsible for the integrity of the data output and to maintain a high standard of excellence, driving the overall safety and quality of the test stand to meet or exceed Flowserve and Industry standards. The role will also be responsible for necessary assistance for pump design group.

Responsibilities & Requirements: Test engineering:
Determine safe operating parameters for testing pumps/compressors and the setup of test equipment, pumps/compressors and engineered systems.
Provides technical advice and guidance on specifications and waivers and participates in MRB activities as required
Review, analyze, and certify test data meets standard or customer specified test. Generate required test reports and curves.
Review, maintain, and create test procedures and test profiles.
Create and implement rework process for non-conforming pumps
Troubleshoots performance and mechanical pump failures.
Operate, maintain and improve facility's pump testing equipment including calibration and certification (hardware and software).
Represents Flowserve during witnessed performance testing and managing the customer witnesses
Supports other facilities by subcontracting site's test capabilities and managing those opportunities
Maintains metrics pertaining to pumps tested. Perform statistical analysis and maintain test results database.
Help scheduling production, R&D and sample jobs to ensure competition by priority.
Perform peer reviews of pumps/compressors designs to ensure accuracy to specifications, standards and codes
Check and verify design drawings and BOMs to conform to specifications and design data.
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or related engineering discipline (Required)
Experience with the manufacture and operation or test of pumps/compressors (Required)
Experience working within a manufacturing environment (Required)
Ability to use hand and measurement tools (Required)
Can interpret GD&T on various component level drawings (Required)
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills (Required)
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems (Required)
Proficient computer skills to include experience with Microsoft Office applications (Required)
Use of Solidworks 2016/2017 (3D) (Preferred) and AutoCAD (2D) (Required)
