Role Summary:

The Guelph, Ontario facility was previously SIHI Pumps that was acquired by Flowserve in 2015. FLS Guelph facility is an OE vacuum pump manufacturing facility. It has the ability to engineer, design, manufacture, assemble and test liquid ring vacuum pumps and compressors. This facility primarily supports the NAM region for both OE pump sales and AM parts.

Currently seeking a Senior Accountant with CPA or CMA, able to work in a fast pace environment including high pressure and time constrained situations with attention to details.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

  • Perform day to day accounting activities and maintain accurate financial records per US GAAP and Flowserve Policies and procedures

  • Perform assigned Account reconciliations per Corporate deadlines ensuring completeness and accuracy

  • Maintenance G/L accounts, and mappings is understood,

  • Review Prepare proposal of expense allocation to other divisions in Canada

  • Ensure compliance with statutory financial obligations, SOX regulations, and/or support Internal / external audits

  • Prepare and submit GST/HST reports

  • Prepare information and support month end journal entries as needed

  • Analyze quarterly financial records and provide explanation of variances vs prior quarters / year

  • Keep informed management of items submitted or issues encountered.


  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting CPA or CMA with solid knowledge in Canadian Tax Rules.

  • 5+ years’ experience in a Manufacturing company

  • Experience in working with SAP FICO is a must

  • Experience with systems such BPC and Blackline

  • Accuracy and attention to details.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
