The Field Service Technician (M/F/T) installs, commissions, monitors, troubleshoots and repairs Flowserve pumps, seals and other equipment in industries such as oil and gas, chemical, nuclear, coal and wastewater, as assigned by the customer.

In this demanding position, the Field Service Technician provides real-time technical support to our customers and makes recommendations for repairs, upgrades, and replacement equipment. The FST is actively involved in troubleshooting problems and implementing solutions on-site at nearby customer facilities.

Our team of Field Service Technicians is the face of Flowserve, and we count on them to provide world-class service to our customers and create a lasting competitive advantage for our products and services.

Responsibilities:

  • Independent coordination and execution of service and repair activities incl. reporting and documentation

  • Support and service activities during shutdowns and commissioning internationally

  • Responsible for the organization of the required equipment (tools, PPE, ...).

  • Responsible for own HSE related topics

  • Training for service partners, customers, QRC, SCS and plant operators regarding valve repair and maintenance.

  • Provide personal and direct customer support.

  • Collaborate with sales to provide coordinated customer support.

Requirements:

  • Completed education in the field of mechanical engineering or comparable.

  • Good knowledge of the German and English language, both written and spoken

  • Knowledge of FLS FCD products

  • Physical fitness, head for heights

  • SCC certification preferred.

  • Intercultural competence preferred.

  • MS-Office, MS-Teams, SAP R/3 and specific programs

  • Willingness to continue education.

  • Good documentation skills in terms of reports and other paperwork

  • Ability to relate well with customers and always project a positive image of the company.

  • Resistance to stress and solution oriented

  • Willingness to travel extensively both domestically and internationally.
