For our location in Essen, which specializes in the development, manufacture and global distribution of the "Kämmer Ventile" brand, we are looking for a position as soon as possible a Service - Engineer II m-f-d (full-time 35 hours/week)
Service Engineer II provides technical support to the Level 1 team (sales engineers, application engineers [commercial operations and order management], QRC personnel and customers). He assists in problem solving related to applications in the field and - given the possibilities in the QRC - develops the best possible replacement, repair and/or upgrade solutions for the aftermarket. The Service Engineer II assists the Application Engineers in the technical interpretation of specifications, procedures, policies, quality and reliability of the equipment for the parties concerned. The Service Engineer II represents the link to the local specialists (Level 3) and initiates and supports project management tasks. This is an international role.
Responsibilities & Requirements: Your tasks will include:
Valve design and troubleshooting assistance and product design proposals
Creation of constructive solutions and implementation in 3D models, technical drawings and parts lists as well as qualified support of other specialist departments
Use of the GTEC Bangalore as a significant key component in the scope of work
Implementation of best engineering practices and Flowserve standards such as welding procedures, bolting torques, materials, valve testing, etc.
Identification of upgrade opportunities and submission of necessary technical proposals
Support and planning of plant shutdowns (turnarounds)
Technical support of the global project management in complex issues during the order fulfillment phase Responsible for documenting and communicating design changes initiated by the QRC according to applicable procedures and systems
Supporting the QRC in all technical matters, including but not limited to the disposition of Non-Conformity
Reports (NCR) Regular review of the constructive solutions for assembly suitability and cost efficiency
Interactive collaboration and building a global service engineer team in the region
Preferred Experience / Skills: Your qualifications:
Engineering degree (FH) with a successful degree, or comparable
In addition, at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in the specified area as an engineer
Specific experience with control valves Experience in project management
Very good knowledge of spoken and written English is mandatory
Very good knowledge of 3D CAD, especially SolidWorks
Very good communication and team skills
