Role Summary:

The Project Manager, Warranty and Customer Service, manages and coordinates warranty and customer service activity associated with vertical turbine pump solutions manufactured in Flowserve’s Hastings, Nebraska facility. The role owns the processes and activity associated with customer complaints, product performance field issues, warranty project life-cycle management, warranty solutions, and warranty metric reporting. The role collaborates with customers, quality, product engineering, sales engineering, operations, finance, and supply chain to formulate and deliver solutions to customer complaints and field performance issues. The role works closely with site resources, engineering, and supply chain to identify and implement long-term solutions to address customer service and/or product warranty trends. The role routinely corresponds with customers and contractors to gather feedback and provide status updates for their complaints and/or warranty claims.

Responsibilities & Requirements:


  • Initiate, monitor, address, and close customer complaints and warranty claims through the Flowserve Warranty Management System (WMS)

  • Review and analyze customer orders and commercial agreements for influence on the scope of supply and product performance requirements

  • Interpret, analyze, and deduce technical data from various sources as it affects product performance and customer requirements

  • Prioritize, formulate, and execute comprehensive solution plans for key customer service & warranty issues including work orders, purchase orders, task plans, resource plans, and communication plans

  • Secure, prepare and submit proposals for remediation of field service issues with vertical turbine pump products

  • Administer and manage documentation for addressing warranty and customer complaint issues. Documentation includes but is not limited to: Non-conformance reports, return material authorizations, shipping documentation, stock returns, rework orders, and credits

  • Establish, manage, and drive performance metrics reflective of the warranty and customer complaint portfolio

  • Prepare and communicate financial reports for warranty performance

  • Monitor and address warranty influence on active project closure and Accounts Receivable activity.

  • Prepare presentations, publications, data analysis, etc. for communication to internal and external customers

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical field

  • 3-5 years of technical project management and/or design engineering experience

  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills

  • Strong competency with personal computers and virtual communication software

  • High performing individual with excellent collaborative skills

  • Demonstrated capability with structured problem-solving tools and techniques

Preferred Experience / Skills:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution

  • Related experience in manufacturing, design, and installation of durable goods or OEM equipment with preferred exposure to fluid handling systems (pumps, blowers, compressors, HVAC, etc.). Exposure to agricultural, municipal, or heavy industrial contract work is a plus.

  • Professional certifications or licensure – PMP or PE preferred

  • Experience with product lifecycle management processes and systems

  • Experience with Lean Daily Management systems and/or Visual Management systems or similar

  • High impact presentation skills

  • Working knowledge of 2D or 3D CAD systems

  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, Symix, and/or similar systems
