Flowserve is looking for a motivated Sales Support Representative to work with our Order Management team. As a Sales Support Representative, your primary role will be to manage large and/or complex orders and translate them into production work orders. This will require frequent interactions with customers and internal sales via email, phone, and face to face meetings. As the primary point of contact for customers, your ability to communicate effectively is essential to your success. The successful candidate will be able to manage a variety of communication and data processing tasks with a high level of customer service, professionalism, and accuracy.
Responsibilities & Requirements: Responsibilities include:
Act as the primary point of contact for customer contacts and manage communication with customers in a timely and professional manner.
Resolve problems with the right level of initiative, collaboration and perseverance to satisfy the needs of our customers and between internal departments.
Review customer specifications for acceptability and ensure the specification requirements are implemented into the order.
Manage/track orders through engineering, purchasing, production planning, and manufacturing processes as they relate to order delivery.
Coordinate all transactions as required. Process orders, quotations, credits, debits, change orders, shipping modes, etc.
Maintain sales order accuracy in accordance with published ISO standards and operational objectives with a strong emphasis on speed and accuracy. Clarify all order discrepancies with the customer in a timely fashion.
Establish and maintain proficiency with products, procedures and operating system.
Coordinate order checking process in accordance with internal processes and ensure that order review volume is evenly distributed among team.
Negotiate lead-times by working with cross-functional departments on orders and deliveries in accordance with operational capacity and customer expectations.
Manages contractual documentation deliverables internally and ensures timely submittal of documentation to the customers.
High School Diploma or GED
5+ years related work experience
Well-spoken with strong written and communication skills.
Good organizational skills, ability to establish priorities and work to specific deadlines with minimum supervision
Ability to work in fast pace, high-energy team, goal orientated environment.
Must be able to deal diplomatically with customers and project a positive corporate image.
Computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office, Oracle application, and other various web based applications.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
Bachelors or Associates Degree
Oracle knowledge a plus or experience in equivalent ERP systems
