We are seeking a NC Programmer for our Cookeville valve manufacturing plant. The NC Programmer will be responsible for programming machine tools.

Responsibilities & Requirements:
Develop and maintain a plan to program machine tools off-line.
Work with other plants to share best practices.
Assist in driving safety through use of LEAN manufacturing and process improvements.
Drive positive change through completion of Kaizens and Continuous Improvement.
Develop fixturing for both machining and assembly operations.
Develop and utilize manufacturing documents and controls such as work instructions.
Solve problems on the shop floor through use of verbal communication with shop employees on set ups and tooling.
Utilize CIP tools to evaluate potential areas of process improvement and standardization across all parts Manufacturing areas.
Evaluate current manufacturing processes for standardization, quality improvement and efficiency.
2+ years of experience in a Manufacturing Engineering environment
2+ years of experience in CNC programming
1+ year of fixture design experience
Computer skills include familiarity with Windows Microsoft Office, MasterCam, Inventor, Auto-Cad, Solidworks, and DNC Software
Preferred Experience / Skills:
Undergraduate degree in Manufacturing Engineering/Industrial Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering recommended
Oracle ERP system knowledge highly recommended
Knowledge of valves and rotating equipment preferred
Experience in LEAN manufacturing or Six Sigma or Continuous Improvement
Experience in 3D modeling
Excellent oral and written communication skills
