Role Summary:


Lead and manage the site supply chain team to deliver site-operational objectives and provide outstanding supply chain service levels on quality and delivery whilst achieving lowest total cost of acquisition for direct material, indirect goods and services, and logistics. Be an integral part of site management team, representing strategies and objectives of Global Supply Chain team (GSC). Drive deployment of supply chain processes and resource development while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities & Requirements:


  • SiteAnnualspendofapproximately$60MUSDfordirectmaterial,$3.2MUSDfor Inbound logisticsand $5M USD for indirect, excludingcapital.

  • ManagetheteamofBuyerswhoareresponsibleforactingonordersuggestions(requisitionor other) andexception messagesgenerated by MRP system.

  • In coordination with Logistics Team, manage the dailylogisticsmovementsforincominggoodstothesite.

  • IncollaborationwiththeGlobalSupplierPerformanceGroup,managesupplierperformance(on-time deliveryand quality) forsite specific deliveries/suppliers.

  • TrackandimprovesitesupplychainKPIs along with thosedefinedbythePlatformSupplyChainDirector/Global Supply Chain.

  • DrivecostreductioninitiativesalignedwithGlobal Supply Chainstrategiestomeetannualoperatingplan(AOP)andlong-termbusinessobjectives.

  • Manage,minimize/eliminatesupplierinflation/priceincreaserequest(s)andescalatetoappropriate Global Supply Chain team for further leverage accordingly.

  • Supportsite Primary Working Capital (PWC)objectivesbyleveraginginventorymanagementopportunitiesandsupplierpaymentterms(examples:Makevs.Buystrategy/SupplierManagedInventoryprograms/ Net 60 days as minimum supplier pay term).

  • In coordination with the respective teams within the Global Supply Chain, ensure utilization of strategic tools and processes to achieve objectives of improved on-time delivery and quality and reduced cycle times and total cost of procurement.

  • Facilitateandoverseecriticalsupply-sitequalityissuesbetweenOperations,Engineering,CustomersandSuppliersasrequired.SupportandleadNCR,CAR,andcapacity/lead-timeimprovementinitiativesforlocallymanagedsuppliers(andcoordinatewiththeSupplier Performance Groupfor centrally managed suppliers). MAIN OBJECTIVES

  • Increase supply chain productivity via PO/POA automation, supplier consolidation, leveraging MRP tools and global supply chain reporting tools.

  • Develop and grow in-house organizational and process capabilities of site Supply Chain team.

  • Set and monitor individual team member performance along with departmental Goals & Objectives in support & alignment of site/business objectives.

  • Identification of training and development requirements for direct reports.

  • Meet or exceed the KPIs set forth by the Platform Supply Chain Director and Site Director.

  • Develop the annual AOP savings plan for the site and deliver on the agreed committed targets.

  • For locally managed suppliers:

  • Improve supplier on-time delivery to both Need by and Supplier Promise date.

  • Improve year-over-year supplier quality performance based on both QA acceptance percentage and supplier cost of poor quality (SCOPC), gross and net.

  • At all times comply with Flowserve Safety, Integrity & Ethics policies & procedures.

  • Comply with ALL Flowserve Supply Chain policies & procedures.

Preferred Experience / Skills:



  • 5+ years Supply Chain / Commodity Management experience.

  • Bachelor's Degree from accredited university

  • Demonstrated experience in forecasting and anticipating production needs and capabilities

  • Proven ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of changing situations under stress

  • Computer literacy applied to scheduling and data management

  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time

  • English language proficiency


  • Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or International Business

  • Oracle and / or SAP Experience

  • Additional language proficiency

  • Possession or pursuit of Professional Accreditation (APICS, PMA, ASQ, CSCP, etc.)
