Responsibilities & Requirements:
Project Engineering prepares schedules, aligns resources, and performs technical activities related to engineering projects.
While referred to as Order Engineering in some areas, employees in these roles may also be responsible for managing vendors, and tracking project schedules to ensure projects are completed according to plans.
While there are multiple business card titles, Project Engineering roles typically involve organizing team resources to ensure coordination and overall quality control of the work.
Review PO/Contract and perform Order Entry.
Proactively communicate with customer in a timely, professional and clear manner.
Lead Phase Gate meetings.
Generate timely Customer quotes.
Generate requests for quote.
Generate Purchase Orders for material/parts -Work with suppliers.
Assist in expediting parts and suppliers -Communicate clear expectations to internal customers.
Understand and meet the QA Program requirements.
Update job status.
Proactively communicate with management and sales.
Collaborate to establish priorities and forecasts.
Schedule/coordinate customer visits.
Review project/repair history.
Actively participate in CIP initiatives.
Minimum high school diploma required, additional education and training in an engineering related field is preferred.
Experience reading prints and interpreting dimensional and visual inspections.
Experience understanding customer specifications, and contract/purchase order review.
Computer literacy with standard Windows programs and Microsoft Project.
Strong technical experience & customer-focus.
Excellent oral & written communication skills.
Ability to organize & prioritize responsibilities.
Strong aptitude for Flowserve’s 6 C’s: Commitment, Collaboration, Creativity, Competence, Confidence, & Character.
Preferred Experience / Skills:
Minimum of one year of experience with mechanical pumps preferred.
Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline preferred, but not required.
Working knowledge of the Flowserve Corporation product line is a plus.
Experience with 10CFR50 App B and ASME Code QA programs a plus.
