Role Summary:

As a Senior General Ledger Accountant, you manage complex end-to-end accounting, month end closing processes conform US-GAAP accounting methodologies. You coordinate month-end closings, general ledger account analyses and balance sheet account reconciliations and prepare SOX controls.

Responsibilities & Requirements:

You'll be involved in the following tasks:

• Work with the team and site controllers to ensure accurate and controlled financial statements for the specific sites;

• Support internal and external audits;

• Support and train one junior colleague

• Ensure effective internal controls for the assigned accounting areas;

• Report to site leadership to ensure a healthy service level.

What do you need for this job

• Have around 3+ years relevant experience.

• Have completed a bachelor’s degree in economics (required): preferably in accounting;

• Have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and any additional languages for the market or clients you will be supporting;

• Have strong general accounting knowledge and understanding of financial processes, US-GAAP and IFRS knowledge (preferred);

• Are comfortable with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint;

• Have working knowledge of ERP systems (such as Oracle, SAP): this is an advantage, not a must-have.

• You are open to travel 10% annually

• You are a natural at building positive relationships

• You have strong analytical, research and problem-solving skills

• You have keen attention to detail

• ​You are flexible and able to cope with process changes.
