Role summary:
Order Engineering is responsible for several important tasks throughout the assigned projects with regards to the design and manufacturing of pump packages, involves the design and development of devices, assemblies, or systems to be produced through production manufacturing processes.
Provides engineering and technical support to all FLS Pump Division Engineers, Sales Engineers, and customers to develop the best possible solutions to pump jobs. Responsible for technical interpretation of specifications, procedures, policies, quality, and equipment reliability to concerned parties.
Fulfilling responsibilities and getting in depth product knowledge will allow a development to become a Product Engineer eventually.

Responsibilities:
Order-specific adaptation of pump designs, components, and systems/packages, based on existing standard systems
Order handling of engineered to order (ETO) orders for process systems / packages including performing risk analysis, design reviews, conformity assessment and coordination and training of GTEC support for engineering deliverables such as P&IDs, wiring diagrams, Isometric pipe drawings, BOM’s etc.
Design creation considering and applying the applicable directives such as machinery directive, pressure equipment directive (PED) and ATEX directive as well as international standards and guidelines.
Application of design engineering principles regarding functional and production-oriented design considering HFE
Perform and evaluate necessary calculations for optimal component design
Selection and specification of system / package components (valves, instruments, pipes, etc.) for procurement
Creation of required documents for product portfolio including accessories, such as parts lists, drawings, SAP master data, instructions, and manufacturing documents
Provision of inquiry documents for the supply chain and technical review of incoming supplier offers
Technical support for component qualifications and external solutions from suppliers, during production and for quality assurance
Documentation creation and organization of all technical information, such as operating and assembly instructions, including initiation of required translations, with significant involvement of Commercial Operations team
Review of P&ID (Pipe & Instrumentation Diagram) flow diagrams
Flexible concerning working hours & willing to travel for planned visits or to overcome unexpected issues (5-10%) if any
Expectations:
Bachelor's in mechanical engineering or closely related engineering discipline
Working proficiency in English
Strong communication skills
Analytical, problem solving and computer skills
Good planning, time management and organizational skills
Knowledge of internal and international practices & standards
Preferred experience/skills:
Work-experience in multi culture teams
Experience in engineering, design, and ERP software (SolidWorks, Windchill, SAP R3)
Solid understanding of pump applications and types; in depth knowledge of hydraulic fundamentals and how these relate to pumps and pumps systems
