Role Summary:

The Project Engineer, based in our GTEC Centre in Budapest, but supporting the Flowserve Germany FPD Engineering Team, is responsible for several important tasks throughout the assigned projects with regards to the design and manufacturing of vacuum pumps. The Project Engineer will be reviewing project input data (including customer specifications) in order to create a good image of the scope. He / She is responsible for different engineering activities and makes sure the customer will receive qualitative outstanding documents in time

Responsibilities & Requirements:

You will be involved in the following tasks:

  • Order-specific adaptation of pump designs, components and systems, based on existing standard systems

  • Order handling of engineered to order (ETO) orders for process systems including performing risk analysis, coordination of GTEC support for P&IDs and wiring diagrams in cooperation with Itzehoe site team

  • Design creation considering and applying the applicable standards and guidelines

  • Application of design engineering principles with regard to functional and production-oriented design

  • Perform and evaluate necessary calculations for optimal component design

  • Creation of required documents for product portfolio including accessories, such as parts lists, drawings, SAP master data, etc.

  • Technical support for component qualifications and external solutions from suppliers, during production and for quality assurance

  • Documentation creation and organization in particular of all technical information, such as operating and assembly instructions, including required translations, with significant involvement of Commercial Operations team

  • Review of P&ID (Pump & Instrumentation Diagram) flow diagrams

You are our ideal colleague if you have…

  • BSc in mechanical engineering is required (preferably MSc)

  • Two years' of profession experience in project engineering (preferably in the field of mechanical systems)

  • English fluent, German would be a plus

  • SAP R3, Siemens NX, Solidworks, Windchill, SAP ECTR, Ansys Workbench, MS Office

  • Effective communicational skills to integrate into the site team in Itzehoe and work in close collaboration with all order related functions

  • Willingness to work temporarily in Itzehoe site

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and computer skills

  • Strong planning, time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to focus on long term goals and to identify and produce deliverables aligned with business objectives.

  • Good communication skills with Customers, Sales, Operations and Engineering
