Role summary:

The Project Engineer, who is part of the Flowserve Seal System Engineering team, is responsible for several important tasks throughout the assigned projects with regards to the design and manufacturing of pump and compressor seal systems.

The Project Engineer will be reviewing project input data (including customer specifications) in order to create a good image of the scope. He/She is responsible for different engineering activities and makes sure the customer will receive qualitative outstanding documents in time.

You will be involved in the following tasks:

  • Review, understand and summarize customer specifications

  • Make instrument/part selection and determine initial design of the system

  • Instruct/guide design team in the production of drawings, BOM's, and supporting documents for the manufacturing, testing, installation and operation of mechanical seal systems.

  • Occasionally create designs, drawings and other documents with the help of Inventor

  • Drive, control and take ownership of engineering activities

  • Coordination of technical project aspects (including interface between seal and system engineering)

  • Determine cost and delivery impact of changes to the scope of supply

  • Handle QA requirements for orders, quality plans and support inspection for order and components

  • Support warranty issues

  • Provide technical support to Sales

  • Join kick-off, Hazop and/or clarification meetings

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s or Master degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related engineering discipline.

  • 7 years relevant experiences and knowledge in one or more of the following areas: Oil & Gas industry, project engineering, 3D design, hydraulic engineering, pressure vessels, instrumentation and interpreting customer specifications

  • Experience in Inventor or Solid works is preferred

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and computer skills

  • Strong planning, time management and organizational skills

  • Ability to focus on long term goals and to identify and produce deliverables aligned with business objectives.

  • Good communication skills with Customers, Sales, Operations and Engineering

  • Well spoken and written English

  • Flexible concerning working hours & willing to travel for planned visits or to overcome unexpected issues (10-15%). Carry out a sense of energy, ownership and personal dedication to the work and overall work environment. Are reliable, meet your deadlines and are an excellent teammate.

  • Have good oral and written communication skills, and are able to communicate on all levels in the organization

  • Strong technical mindset and able to read and interpret technical data and translate to others

  • Have strong self-motivation and drive to meet schedules

  • Adaptability, Open minded, self-starter

  • Resilient and precise
